Karen I. Campbell
Karen I. Campbell, of Richmond, is the Vice President, State Government Affairs for Verizon. In this capacity, she is responsible for planning, oversight and coordination of all public policy initiatives involving regulatory matters in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Campbell is also responsible for all external affairs activities including community relations, volunteerism and direction of the Verizon Foundation programs within Washington, DC and Maryland. She graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management and a minor in Engineering Psychology and holds a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University with a concentration in Science, Technology and Innovation. Campbell serves on the executive boards of the DC Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Performing Arts Society and also serves as a board member of the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education, Holy Cross Hospital Foundation, Baltimore Workforce Investment Board, Urban Alliance, and the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore. She is also a member of the Leadership Greater Washington Class of 2010.
