A. James Clark Engineering Transfer Pipeline Program

Empowering the Future of Engineering

The A. James Clark Engineering Transfer Pipeline Program is dedicated to improving the transfer pathway for engineering students. Recognizing that 40% of engineering students do not complete their first year and 30% of those who continue face challenges in fundamental courses, the program offers essential support to enhance student preparedness and success.

Program Goals

Provide community college scholarships to students interested in pursuing an engineering degree.

Employ a system-wide coach to identify, assist, and guide students as they map their engineering career path.

Inspire a new generation of traditionally underserved students to enter the field of engineering.

Serve as a pipeline for non-traditional engineering students to transfer to a four-year institution to complete their degree.

Student Support

Research indicates that effective advising and support services are crucial for student success in completing credentials or transferring to four-year institutions, especially for underserved groups like students of color, low-income, and first-generation students.

Students will have access to:

  • One-on-one coaching
  • Scholarship and financial aid opportunities
  • Internship and mentorship opportunities
  • Four-year degree pathway assistance
