Ac

Accelerate Opportunity

The Accelerate Opportunity Fund empowers the VFCCE to allocate resources where they are needed most, creating a foundation of sustainability that amplifies our mission. This provides the VFCCE the agility to innovate, adapt, and pursue strategic opportunities that will increase student success, improve the workforce, and drive Virginia’s prosperity.

The Impact

Develop Career Pathways for Students
Create partnerships that lead to high-demand careers, ensuring that students are prepared for the job market, and employers have access toa highly-trained workforce.

Support Students from Enrollment to Employment

Through coaching and direct financial assistance, the VFCCE provides students support from enrollment to employment ensuring they have the tools and recourses needed to succeed.

Expand Virginia’s Workforce

No college is fully funded by state appropriations. In addition, critical high-demand training programs in fields including IT, Healthcare,Skilled Trades, Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, and Engineering are also the most expensive to operate. Developing public-private partnerships ensure that industry needs and workforce training are aligned to provide pathways that lead to high-demand, high-wage careers. This reduces training costs for students and businesses.

Respond at the Speed of Business

Private philanthropy leveraged by state funds allows colleges the flexibility, speed, and efficiency to better respond to the changing demands of the workforce and quickly address unforeseen challenges, such as economic shifts or weather- related crises to provide continuous support to our students.

Increase Virginia’s Prosperity

Fuel economic growth through the powerful alliance between worldclass education and industry partnerships that position our
Commonwealth as a national leader.
