Virginia’s community colleges are unique in their ability to rapidly develop new programs to address the demands and opportunities presented by a dynamic information-driven economy.

The VFCCE Talent Pipeline Expansion provides start-up funds for the development and deployment of new workforce readiness programs, associate degree programs, updates to existing programs for high-need jobs, and venture capital for workforce readiness certifications and degrees.

Student Success

A graduate of the Power Line Workers program at Southside Virginia Community College, James secured a job with River City Construction soon after graduation. The company provides power line construction and maintenance and often answers the call for post storm damage.
