The VFCCE hosted the Virginia Community College System’s annual legislative reception, and among the notable attendees were Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, Secretary of Education Aimee Rogstad Guidera, Secretary of Labor Bryan Slater, the incoming VCCS Chancellor David Doré, as well as over 270 other esteemed legislators and guests.
The Governor welcomed incoming Chancellor David Doré and said our colleges are “the linchpin” in Virginia’s effort to ensure a well-trained workforce. Doré begins as Chancellor on April 1. Read more about the Governor’s comments here.
